Job Description:
Red Snapper Recruitment are seeking several Communication Managers to work on a 5 month contract with the MET in London.

The Investigator utilises a range of appropriate investigative approaches to gather material, placing the victim at the centre of all actions and decisions, to safely and effectively investigate serious and complex crimes with a view to achieving an appropriate outcome for that investigation. This role will be based at London Bridge. The team will be led by a DS and the primarily focus will be Robberies and Sexual Offences investigations on BTP jurisdiction. The Investigator will be tasked to carry initial investigative actions as directed by the DS and help to support CID teams. There may be a requirement to work overtime which will be paid at an agreed rate.

£23.72 per hour PAYE & £31.33 per hour Umbrella (Weekend rates can be seen below)
Saturday - £28.75 per hour PAYE & £36.16 per hour Umbrella
Sunday - £37.95 per hour PAYE & £50.50 per hour Umbrella

Main duties and responsibilities
and work with other investigators, specialists and managers to establish and use appropriate methods for gathering material and to develop procedures to turn material into intelligence or evidence as part of the investigation into Robberies and Sexual Offences investigations.
and gather material, intelligence and evidence from a range of sources that are appropriate to the serious and complex nature of the investigation, record and retain evidence in a format that is evidentially admissible to support the investigative process.
witnesses and suspects and gather all required information, intelligence and evidence in relation to serious and complex investigations in accordance with PIP2 investigative standards also generating further lines of enquiry where required to bring offenders to justice.
appropriate support for victims during an investigation, completing risk assessments, and formulating a victim strategy where required, and working with the Public Protection and Vulnerability Unit, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the victim.
out analysis, assess evidence, and evaluate material generated by the investigation of Robbery and Sexual Offences crimes to identify offenders.
all material, including exhibits generated by serious and complex crime are seized, examined, and retained in accordance with legislation and policy, where necessary.
to safeguarding concerns and manage risk.
UK Driving licence.
with partner agencies.
Statements and providing own statements if needed.
and requesting CCTV
Forensic material.
CCTV Trawls
Intel and safeguarding reports
and updating Victims
to house enquires.
actions on shared systems.
out other investigative actions as directed by the DS.

Essential
communication skills with the ability to listen, empathise, provide support and adapt language, form, and message to meet the needs of different people / audiences.
in the use of use IT packages, systems and/or databases to fulfil role requirements.
to break down a complex problem into component parts and determine appropriate action in investigations.
to work effectively in a team to achieve shared objectives, demonstrating awareness of individual differences and providing support and advice as required.
to plan own work and plan ahead, as well as identify and mitigate risks to delivery.
to proactively develop effective working relationships with colleagues, partners and other stakeholders.
to produce clear and concise reports and other documents within best practice procedures – in particular written statements.
a good understanding of the Criminal Justice System
