About the Role
We are recruiting two Policy and Strategy Officers to work in the corporate centre of the Council. You will focus on supporting strategic policy development and performance management across the Council. The role involves consistent business planning and will play a key role in developing, delivering and monitoring the Council Plan and its related performance framework. You will monitor emerging legislation and policy, analyse proposals from government and partners, and develop informed options for implementation. The postholder will integrate research, consultation and customer insight into decision-making, while contributing to partnership intelligence networks. The role also includes leading projects and providing written briefings and advice to senior leaders. In addition, you will promote equality, diversity and inclusion and support action on climate change.
