Portfolio Director

The Opportunity

As Portfolio Director, you will:

• Own portfolio margin, utilisation, and financial healt
• Use data and insight to actively manage commercial risk and performance
• Influence delivery and resourcing decisions that enable growth without margin erosion
• Lead a senior delivery practice with a strong commercial mindset
• Partner with executive, commercial, and sales leaders to ensure work is won and delivered on sustainable economics

Who This Role Is For

This role requires a candidate who has previously held a comparable portfolio‑level leadership position and is able to step in with minimal ramp‑up, confidently owning margin, utilisation, capacity, and portfolio performance from day one.

This role is ideal for a senior leader from a consulting, professional services, or systems integrator background who:

• Thinks in portfolio P&L, not just project milestones
• Has a strong grasp of utilisation, capacity planning, and delivery economics
• Is comfortable making data‑led trade‑offs on scope, resourcing, and priorities
• Has led complex delivery portfolios while protecting margin and predictability
• Operates confidently at executive level, influencing strategy and outcomes
• Deep delivery experience is essential, but commercial ownership and decision‑making are what define success in this role
