Founded in 2019, TwinklHive has invested in more than 35 Start Ups across the UK and internationally.

Job summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Portfolio Support Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice and portfolio management services to TwinklHive’s portfolio of investee companies, as well as overseeing new investments.  You will work closely with Pat Luker, Twinkl’s Head of M&A.


In this role you will:

Portfolio Support 

  • Be responsible for overseeing two distinct portfolios: one focused on Ed-tech investments strategically aligned to Twinkl, and the other being a sector-agnostic investment portfolio. 
  • Support founders and act as a strategic sounding board.
  • Handle portfolio company requests, including the review of follow-on funding opportunities.
  • Liaise with Twinkl’s Finance team to understand and monitor company performance.
  • Work with Twinkl’s Head of M&A and the Education team to identify portfolio companies which are suitable for acquisition by Twinkl.

Investment Management

  • Handle inbound enquiries and direct applications for investment.
  • Source additional applications through collaboration with external partners.
  • Guide applicants through the different stages of the investment process.
  • Work in collaboration with Twinkl’s Legal team to complete due diligence. 
  • Prepare investment reports for Investment Committee review.

We're interested in anyone who meets one, or a combination of the following:

  • An effective communicator (both verbal and written).
  • Well organised and able to work autonomously.
  • Commercially astute and demonstrates an understanding of the challenges faced by Start Ups.
  • A positive and outgoing person, who will act as an key ambassador for Twinkl and TwinklHive.
  • Able to build lasting relationships with our investee company founders and their teams.
  • Experience using Google Suite
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, to manage expectations
