Pay: £17.00 per hour + £1.50 per hour shift allowance after 4pm / overtime at £25.50 per hour
Job type: Temp to perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm (training), then 1:00pm – 10:00pm

About the Role
We are recruiting a Powder Coater Team Leader on behalf of our client, a well-established sheet metal company based in Buntingford. This is a temp to perm, full-time role offering consistent weekday hours and the opportunity to take on a key leadership position within the finishing department.

This is a hands-on role where you will lead by example while supporting the day-to-day running of the powder coating line. It would suit candidates with experience in powder coating or industrial paint processes who are already in, or looking to step into, a Team Leader or Supervisor role.

This role may also suit candidates searching for positions such as Paint Line Leader, Finishing Supervisor, Powder Coating Supervisor, Production Team Leader, or individuals with transferable skills from metal finishing, fabrication, automotive spraying, or general manufacturing environments.

What You’ll Do

Lead and support a small team within the powder coating department

Carry out hands-on powder coating to a high standard

*

Ensure jobs are completed efficiently and within deadlines

Monitor product quality and ensure specifications are met

*

Train and support team members where required

*

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment

Work closely with production to meet daily targets

What We’re Looking For

Experience in powder coating or a strong understanding of powder coating procedures

*

Previous Team Leader, Supervisor, or senior-level experience within manufacturing

*

Hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front

*

Good attention to detail and quality standards

*

Reliable and proactive attitude

*

Ability to commute to Buntingford
