We’re recruiting for an experienced Power Factor Engineer to join a specialist engineering business delivering high-performance power and electrical solutions across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in power factor correction systems to step into a dynamic, field-based role with exposure to critical infrastructure and energy projects.
The Role: As a Power Factor Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair of PFC units and associated electrical systems. These systems are installed across a range of industrial and high-voltage sites, helping clients improve energy efficiency, reduce reactive power charges, and stabilise their electrical supply.
You’ll be field-based with regular UK-wide travel, working both independently and alongside high-voltage engineers. All travel expenses and accommodation are covered, and you’ll be equipped with a fully kitted van and all necessary tools.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Installing and commissioning Power Factor equipment on industrial sites
Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs on capacitor banks and related control systems
Diagnosing faults and offering technical solutions for reactive power issues
Supporting energy efficiency improvements in HV and LV environments
Preparing service reports and maintaining documentation in line with safety standards
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience working with Power Factor systems or similar electrical equipment
Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, ideally in industrial settings
Based in the North West (Macclesfield, Manchester, Cheshire, etc.)
Full UK driving licence
Willing to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays
Apply now if you're ready to put your PFC expertise to work in a varied and rewarding engineering role — with all the tools, support, and opportunity you need to succeed.
