Power Quality Field Service Engineer

Diagnose faults on UPS systems. Demonstrate understanding of on-line and line-interactive UPS systems. Carry out preventative maintenance on the existing installed base. Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 5 weeks). Commission and repair all types of UPS systems, including standalone and parallel configurations. Set up and configure remote monitoring software. Communicate with key stakeholders on technical matters. Apply anti-static policies and procedures. Apply the ECN process to all repairs. Educated to a HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent Possessing three phase electrical installation or maintenance knowledge A good understanding of UPS systems. Knowledgeable of industrial communication protocols such as: Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE , TCP/IP Knowledgeable of programming of PLC control systems (power control, generator control, SCADA or process control
