You'll be working on a varied fleet of powered access equipment, including machines from leading manufacturers such as Genie, JLG, Niftylift and Skyjack Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Keeping our fleet moving – servicing, maintaining, repairing and refurbishing powered access equipment to the highest standards Putting your problem-solving skills to work – diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults Getting equipment hire-ready – carrying out inspections, safety checks and repairs to ensure machines are ready for our customers Taking ownership of repairs – identifying faults, assessing repair requirements and ensuring work is completed efficiently Working as part of a great team – sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues and helping our Ossett depot deliver an excellent service Putting safety first – ensuring every machine meets the required safety and quality standards before returning to hire What we're looking for We're looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys a challenge, takes pride in their work and wants to keep developing their skills Ideally, you'll bring: Previous engineering experience working with powered access equipment, including scissor lifts, boom lifts or similar machinery Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding and diagnostic skills Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment The ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic drawings A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong focus on safety Great teamwork skills and a positive attitude CAP registration would be an advantage, but it's not essential – we're happy to support your development and help you gain further qualifications Why join Speedy?
