PQ Accountant - Energy & Renewables

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a broad base of experience in both financial and management accounting within a dynamic, project-based environment. You will support a range of finance activities, including month-end reporting, budgeting, project accounting, and financial analysis. You'll work across departments to help ensure robust financial control and provide valuable insight into business performance.

As the business continues to grow, they are looking to strengthen their finance team with the addition of a Part-Qualified Accountant.

Description

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management and financial accounts.
• Support the month-end close process, including journals, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.
• Partner with project teams to monitor and report on project performance and costs.
• Help prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Provide variance analysis and commentary to support business decision-making.
• Contribute to the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Support finance systems improvements and internal process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant regulatory standards.

Profile

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA or equivalent).
• Experience in a finance or accounting role with exposure to both financial and/or management reporting.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills; experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
