Anderson Knight is pleased to be partnering with our client to recruit a Finance Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for a Part-Qualified Accountant looking to broaden their experience within a varied finance role.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded organisation operating in a complex, multi-entity environment. Offering exposure to both transactional and management accounting responsibilities, the role will provide valuable hands-on experience while supporting key financial processes across the business.
The successful candidate will play an important role within the finance team, supporting day-to-day financial operations, reporting, analysis and financial controls. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will contribute to the production of accurate financial information, assist with month-end activities and help drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and variance analysis. • Maintain the general ledger, cashbook, sales ledger and purchase ledger. • Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations, resolving outstanding items promptly. • Raise and process invoices, ensuring income is accurately recorded and recognised. • Support credit control activities, monitoring aged debt and following up outstanding balances. • Maintain accurate financial records, supporting schedules and the fixed asset register. • Prepare and input financial data for internal reporting and group consolidation. • Assist with month-end, year-end and external audit requirements. • Ensure reporting deadlines are met accurately and on time. • Provide financial information, reconciliations and analysis as required. • Build strong relationships across the business and communicate financial information effectively.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have • Studying towards ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification. • Previous experience in a finance role covering both transactional and management accounting responsibilities. • A solid understanding of accounting principles and experience working to trial balance. • Practical experience supporting month-end processes and preparing management accounts. • Strong Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications. • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies. • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
