Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing haulage business in Glasgow to recruit a Part-Qualified Financial Accountant.

This role will suit someone who enjoys producing accurate financial information, has a strong eye for detail, and is looking for a position that offers genuine exposure and long-term career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the preparation of monthly management and financial accounts.
* Support the month-end and year-end close process, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
* Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
* Assist with the production of statutory accounts and support the annual external audit process.
* Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC reporting requirements.
* Support cash flow reporting and treasury activities.
* Maintain the fixed asset register and process asset additions, disposals and depreciation.
* Produce financial reports and analysis to support business performance and operational decision-making.
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting alongside the wider finance team.
* Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and strengthen internal controls.
* Build strong working relationships with operational departments to provide financial support and insight.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA with a clear commitment to completing your professional qualification.
* Previous experience within a Financial Accountant, Assistant Financial Accountant or Assistant Accountant role.
* Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and month-end processes.
* Experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting financial reporting.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* A proactive team player with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
* Previous experience within transport, logistics, manufacturing or another operational business would be beneficial but is not essential.
