PR Account Manager- Beauty

Job Description

PURPLE are looking for a self-motivated and dynamic Account Manager to join its fast paced, growing Beauty & Wellness Division.

The PURPLE Beauty & Wellness division work with some of the most globally recognised luxury brands across haircare, skincare, colour cosmetics, fitness & wellness including:

REFY, Makeup By Mario, Susanne Kaufmann, Decree, Color Wow, Estrid, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Santa Maria Novella, Penhaligon’s, ReVive, Noble Panacea, Charlotte Mensah, L’Objet and Davines.

PURPLE is amongst the foremost Global Communications agencies for luxury brands & innovation across fashion, beauty & wellness, lifestyle, events, VIP and digital with offices in London, New York, Miami, LA, Dubai, Hong Kong & Singapore.

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic and tactical support to the Account Directors
Day-to-day client contact and manage client expectations
Generate coverage in appropriate titles
Maintain regular day to day contact with key press
Quality work, on brief, on time and on budget
Assist senior team members in managing PR campaigns for diverse clients from conception to completion
Working with our in-house events team to manage launch events for media and influencers
Ability to develop credentials and proposals with support from your Account Director
Able to lead and execute events, press trips and press days
Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the media developments and spot opportunities for PURPLE and your clients
Contribute to agency new business efforts; both creating proposals and participating in relevant pitches
Line managing junior staff to ensure they meet targets
Be a brand champion, an expert on Beauty & Wellbeing knowledge and build key relationships
Delivering coverage across online, offline and social media, and leverage added value from all PR activity
Promote PURPLE and its brands, campaigns, activities and events to the media, public and external audiences globally
Own media relations and to continue to develop and maintain relationships with key journalists
Monitor PURPLE brand

placement/exposure,

ensuring all communication and activity are on-brand
Work closely with the social media team and brief on all events and launch initiatives
Work closely with the other business channels within PURPLE to ensure campaigns are thoroughly planned and executed in good time
Support AD’s on communication with all clients, building rapport and credibility based on trust and expert counsel

Skills and Experience
4-6 years of Beauty & Wellbeing of luxury brand experience (adjacent industry experience will be considered) with established agency or similar role for in-house marketing department.
Develop and implement PR strategies to support brand image, increase awareness and visibility in support of business goals
Superb critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesise complex information, confidently make recommendations based on data, and work with an action-oriented mindset
An ability to handle pressure with equanimity and to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast- paced, and accountability-focused organisation; a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
Discreet, professional, and well spoken, with excellent communication skills
Extremely well-organised, methodical and efficient, with a good dose of common sense and initiative
Pro-active and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly promote the PURPLE offering
Creative and strategic thinker
Strong established UK media and influencer contacts
International media and influencer contacts are also desirable
Strong presentation & superb writing skills
Able to identify communication opportunities across multiple media platforms
Strong MS Word skills; working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
