My client, a well established brand are recruiting for a PR Assistant to join them on a fixed term contact until December 2024.

The role

The PR Assistant will learn the diverse functions of a press office, as well as support a range of communication activities to help spread brand awareness.

Key responsibilities

Build relationships with journalist and influencers
Keeping up with the news and identifying reactive opportunities with the support of the team
Keeping abreast of social media trends
Developing briefing docs if and when required
To support the team in providing back up for the Customer Information Line
Researching, monitoring and summarising industry news for reporting purposes
Tracks and clips media coverage
To support and progress projects agreed by the PR Manager; including desk research, event coordination, media pack creation and influencer management
Transcribe audio and podcast interviews so that it can be analysed for learnings
Build targeted journalist database
Develop ad-hoc LinkedIn posts to support events or campaigns
To effectively manage tasks and projects within the deadlines set by PR Manager .
Attend relevant webinars and events, take notes and report back to team
Support with seeking relevant awards for upcoming year
