The Zest Marketing team is the comms machine supporting our business growth. The PR and Communications Manager will work within Zest’s Marketing team to ensure the PR and Communications aspect of our marketing strategy is designed, implemented, and delivered, so we achieve our wider company goal of growth. The role will grow our media profile and develop and deliver a proactive plan of regular media activities to showcase our story and market offering.

Key Accountabilities:
The role is responsible for the following: Devising, planning, and implementing our PR and communications strategy and plan Establishing metrics to report on the success of key deliverables Coordinating, preparing and writing press releases Writing engaging and varied copy, across different platforms and media, which is appropriate for the medium being published Building and developing relationships with press and analysts Partner with our PR agency to deliver a regular programme of media activity Working with the communications teams from Local Authorities and Commercial Partners to develop educational communications campaigns around EVCP installations Supporting with external and internal employee communications campaigns as required, including stakeholder communications for new locations
Key Experience & Skills:
Excellent copy writing skills Ability to create and drive a robust PR strategy that drives brand awareness Proven ability to manage the whole end to end communications process for campaigns Excellent understanding of PR and Comms across national, broadcast, regional and trade media, with a proven track record of media success Experience of liaising with colleagues across the business to identify messages and content accurately, reflecting our business strategy and offering in a tangible way Experience of creating and working with meaningful case studies for media activity that can be replicated across various mediums Ability to analyse media coverage and evaluate success of campaigns Ability to work under pressure, organise priorities and communicate complex issues in an engaging and understandable manner Ability to own and develop a regular cadence of comms activity 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
Experience / Qualifications:
Educated to degree level and CIPR member preferred but not required
