Practice Accountant | North Gloucestershire – Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience and qualifications

My client is a firm of accountants with offices in Pershore, Cheltenham, Ledbury and Twyning. They specialise in working for owner-managed and family-run businesses. Key Responsibilities
* The role is full-time. However, they would consider applicants wishing to work 5 days per week but shorter hours (such as 9am to 3pm). This role focuses on compliance services for farms and agricultural businesses including accounts preparation for both incorporated and unincorporated businesses, personal and business tax compliance, and services associated with this.
* Review and prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, adhering to relevant accounting standards.
* Review and prepare personal and business tax returns, including corporation tax and VAT, ensuring accurate calculation of tax liabilities and timely submissions.
* Prepare accounts and business tax returns for larger/higher complexity clients.
Your Profile
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
* Strong technical expertise in UK accounting, tax, and VAT regulations, with experience in managing complex issues and client matters.
* Proficiency in accounting software and tax preparation tools (IRIS and Xero preferred).
* Strong accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information.
