Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled, experienced Practice Accountant to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Practice Accountant, you will be responsible for managing clients accounts, preparing financial statements, checking work, supervising the team and providing strategic financial advice to their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of clients accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
Prepare financial statements and corporation tax returns
Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to clients to help them make informed business decisions
Assist clients with tax planning and compliance, including the preparation of tax returns
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on financial matters
Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency
Collaborate with team members to optimise processes and deliver exceptional service to clients
Assist with workflow management, team overview and deadline reviews
Review other team members work including VAT returns, bookkeeping, accounts & tax returns
Assist with anti-money laundering requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualification
3+ years of experience in public accounting or a similar role
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or similar programs
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and accuracy
