Job Description - Practice Bookkeeper


TPF Recruitment are proud to be supporting a leading accountancy practice with multiple offices across the county. They work with thousands of businesses and individuals, providing specialist services in accountancy, taxation, payroll, advisory and financial planning.


This firm is experiencing continued growth and is now looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their busy Outsourcing team, based in Haywards Heath. The team plays a vital role in delivering bookkeeping, management accounts and payroll support, forming the backbone of the services offered.


What you’ll be doing:


Managing bookkeeping for a wide variety of clients using Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent and ClearBooks


Assisting clients with bookkeeping and software queries


Preparing and filing VAT and CIS returns within deadlines


Completing bookkeeping to trial balance including reconciliations, prepayments and accruals


Producing schedules and reports as required


Liaising directly with clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery


Supporting and guiding the team in prioritising workload and handling queries


Requirements


What we’re looking for:


At least 2 years’ relevant bookkeeping experience


Ideally AAT qualified (or equivalent experience)


Strong working knowledge of cloud accounting software (experience with IRIS & Xero is an advantage)


Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills


Strong communication and customer service skills


Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK

Hours and location:


Full time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 with 1 hour lunch)


Alternative work patterns may be considered, with a minimum of 30 hours / 4 days per week
