Practice Manager

As a Practice Manager for Thurmaston 24hr Hospital and Medivet Birstall, you will work under the guidance and leadership of the Network Partner, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our veterinary clinics. 

Managing the team, you are responsible for ensuring we deliver exceptional care, always there for our clients, patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of compliance with regulatory, operational and practice standards, alongside maximising the commercial performance..

This is a full time, permanent role, with your time split between Medivet Thurmaston 24hr and Medivet Birstall.

A natural communicator, you build strong relationships with clients and inspire the best in your team. To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a strong focus on commercial performance, compliance, and high-quality service delivery. Highly organised and proactive, you’re skilled in systems, data analysis, and resource planning.

What you’ll be doing

Typically, in this role, you’ll:

• Deliver exceptional client care, monitoring client feedback and actioning to improve the practice
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
• Support the Partner / Lead Vet with a focus on capacity, skills utilisation and cost management to maximise commercial performance
• Maintain clinic rotas and carry out effective resource planning, diary management and clinic workflow
• Support recruitment, induction and management of colleagues, enabling engagement and retention
