Are you a Toolmaker or Precision Engineer with experience in a precision engineering environment, looking to join a stable company offering long-term security, progression, and an excellent work-life balance?
On offer is a permanent position within a well-established precision engineering business supplying high-quality components into industries including aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, nuclear, and general engineering.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their skilled engineering team at their Chessington facility. You will play a key role in manufacturing, maintaining, and assembling high-precision tooling and components used throughout production, ensuring exceptional quality and accuracy.
In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing precision tooling and components from engineering drawings, operating a range of manual machine tools, carrying out fitting and assembly work, and maintaining the high standards expected within a quality-driven engineering environment.
The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:
Manufacturing precision tooling, jigs, fixtures, and components from engineering drawings Operating manual lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and other toolroom equipment Fitting, assembling, and modifying precision-engineered components Inspecting finished work using precision measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met Carrying out tool maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement activities Working closely with production and engineering teams to support manufacturing operationsThe Person:
Experience as a Toolmaker, Precision Engineer, Toolroom Engineer, or Manual Machinist within a precision engineering environment Experience operating manual machine tools and producing precision components Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work Experience working with a variety of engineering materials and precision measuring equipmentReference Number: BBBH(phone number removed)
