Pre-con Engineer

Randstad is seeking a skilled Pre-Construction Engineer to join our team. You will play a vital role in ensuring projects are set up for success from the outset, focusing on accurate setting out, quality control, and proactive risk management. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate and timely project set-up, including establishing levels, survey control, and detailed works.
• Maintaining comprehensive records that meet organizational and legal standards.
• Proactive problem-solving and risk mitigation.
• Resource management and procurement scheduling.
• Production of ITPs, task briefings, and look-ahead schedules.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Experience setting out on civil engineering projects.
• Knowledge of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.
• Proficiency with robotic total stations or EDM instruments.
• Civil engineering degree/HNC (or equivalent).
• Excellent communication skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency.
• Temporary works coordination.
• CSCS card.
• Cable avoidance and first aid training.
• NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications.
