Role As a Predictive & Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in improving the reliability, safety and performance of a wide range of mechanical and process equipment. Working as part of the engineering team, you will deliver planned preventative maintenance, carry out fault finding and repairs, and develop predictive and condition-based maintenance strategies to minimise downtime. You will utilise techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography and oil analysis, while contributing to continuous improvement projects, root cause investigations, equipment standardisation and maintenance planning. The role also involves working with CMMS systems, supporting process automation and collaborating with production and engineering colleagues to optimise plant performance.
Person We are looking for a mechanically qualified engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with at least three years' experience in a manufacturing or process environment. You will have strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, reliability engineering and condition monitoring techniques, with experience of pumps, drives, conveyors and fault finding on industrial equipment. Familiarity with CMMS systems, RCM, FMEA and PLC-controlled machinery is essential, while experience with SCADA, SQL, AutoCAD or process automation would be advantageous. You will be a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills, a commitment to safe working practices and a passion for driving continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
