Pre-Sales Consultant – Security

This role is with a leading IT service provider in Europe with a 40-year history of expertise and partnership. The company is dedicated to shaping the future with IT, maintaining close relationships with customers through over 85 system houses and e-commerce companies in 14 European countries. Serving a diverse clientele, including midsized businesses, large corporations, and public-sector organizations, they offer a blend of direct IT product sales and extensive systems integration services. The Role
As a Pre-Sales Cyber Security Consultant, you will collaborate closely with Account Managers and the Post Sales team to build, influence, and challenge customers' cyber security strategies and services. You will lead client pitches and contribute to delivering end-to-end solutions.
In this role, you will be a key member of the Technical Pre-Sales function within the Business Solutions and Services team, contributing significantly to the growth of the company's Security pillar. You will focus on understanding customer challenges and supporting the enhancement of their security posture to defend against an evolving threat landscape. Your responsibilities will include engaging in pre-sales activities, understanding client requirements, participating in technical pre-sales discussions, and ensuring solutions and services meet client expectations.
Responsibilities
Candidate Profile
Experience : 2+ years in a Pre-Sales role or similar within an MSP/Reseller organization. Experience with incident response teams is beneficial.
Technical Skills: Understanding of incident response stages, experience with endpoint detection and threat management products, and knowledge of global Information Security Standards (e.g., ISO27002, CIS, NCSE CAF, NIST CSF). Expertise : Advanced cybersecurity services (e.g., SSE, SASE, SIEM, MDR/EDR) and familiarity with security frameworks and market-leading solutions. Experience recommending and designing solutions for compliance guidelines is preferred.
Certifications : Engineer certifications in leading market solutions are advantageous.
