Job Description - Presales Engineer

Client Engagement:
Initiate and lead pre-sales discussions with potential customer to understand their business objectives, challenges, and requirements. Collaborate with sales team to identify opportunities and tailor presentations that align with customer needs. Collaborate with the development and product teams to communicate customer feedback and contribute to product improvements.

Demonstrations and Presentations:
Prepare technical demonstrations to show case existing use cases and client-specific use cases, demonstrating our configuration and integration capabilities. Create and maintain demo environments to simulate real-world scenarios for clients.

Proof-of-Concepts:
Lead the development and execution of proof-of-concept projects to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of our solutions in a client's environment and integrating with their data and services.

Infrastructure Management:
Manage a scalable and resilient infrastructure for Personar’s customers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and enforce infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices. Work with customers such as Formula One teams

and football organisations using TrackSwift to optimise and improve infrastructure efficiency and application performance.

Technical Expertise:
The ability to understand and leverage our mission-critical customer deployments to effectively troubleshoot and resolve customer issues. Possess in-depth knowledge of JSON data structures, schema design, and best practices for handling JSON data. Familiarity with Node.js and Angular, plus a solid understanding of machine learning capabilities is advantageous.

System Monitoring and Incident Response:
Develop and maintain effective monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of numerous instances. Respond instantly to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime. Communicate effectively with customers, providing prompt and detailed information to during mission-critical usage scenarios.

Customer Assistance:
Provide timely and effective support to customers via various channels, including email, phone, and chat. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues live. Keeping customers informed of the status of any issues.

Event Support:
Support customers during events, addressing urgent customer inquiries, system issues, and escalations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless support coverage during events.
Collaboration and Documentation:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and data scientists, to understand requirements and provide reliable and robust solutions for our customers. Maintain detailed documentation of system architecture, configurations, and procedures. Ensure accurate documentation of customer interactions, issue resolutions, and best practices are recorded. Contribute to the creation of knowledge base articles to assist customers in self-service issue resolution. Provide training and support to the sales team on technical aspects of platform configuration.
