Pre-School Room Leader

We Currently have a Vacancy for an enthusiastic Room Leader at our Lee on Solent setting.

Desirable skills for this role

• Former experience working in a childcare environment e.g. day nursery/after school club/school


• Knowledge of OFSTED, EYFS and other relevant childcare policies and programs


• Knowledge of safeguarding and the role of a DSL


• Paediatric first aid certificate


• Food hygiene certificate


• Current Level 4 Safeguarding training certificate

This Job involves

• Leading a team of practitioner to Provide outstanding care to the Pre-School room


• Leading the settling in sessions with the new parents, establishing positive relationships and supporting both the child and parents during these sessions.


• Ensure paperwork within the rooms is completed accurately and efficiently.


• Promote the nursery to current parents and prospective parents.


• Lead team and support your team to fulfil their individual personal development plans

As part of our commitment to outdoor learning, we offer regular Beach School sessions, giving children the opportunity to explore, learn, and play in a natural coastal environment. These sessions support children’s curiosity, confidence, and connection to nature through hands-on activities like beachcombing, storytelling, and environmental discovery. Beach School is a key part of our curriculum, encouraging physical development, teamwork, and a sense of wonder—all while making the most of our beautiful seaside location.

Full Time - Monday-Friday 40hrs week, 52 weeks a year

Salary - £31,595.20
