Press Brake Setter / Operator

Location: Warrington
Pay Rate: £15.31 per hour
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7am–3pm | Friday, 7am–12pm
Hours per week: 37
Overtime: Available when required

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Setter/Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment in Warrington.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating press brake machinery to produce high-quality, accurate components in line with engineering drawings and production requirements.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in press brake setting, sheet metal work or fabrication who takes pride in producing quality work.

Key Responsibilities

* Set and operate CNC press brake machines, including AMADA equipment.

* Select and fit the correct tooling for each job.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

* Programme and adjust machines when changing between jobs.

* Work with different sheet metal materials and thicknesses.

* Ensure components meet required measurements and quality standards.

* Carry out quality inspections and maintain accurate production records.

* Meet production targets and deadlines.

* Carry out basic machine maintenance and report faults or breakdowns.

* Work closely with the production team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.

* Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace.

Essential Requirements

* Previous experience setting and operating press brake machinery.

* Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or sheet metal environment.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Understanding of press brake tooling, bending operations and material specifications.

* Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Experience

* Previous experience with AMADA press brakes.

* Sheet metal fabrication or electrical containment manufacturing.

* Experience with CNC programming and machine adjustments.

* Relevant machine operation qualifications.

* FLT or scissor lift experience
