Press Toolmaker at Pemberton Engineering

Position Overview:
Pemberton Engineering is currently seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join its dynamic and experienced team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and assembling press tooling. Experience with progression tooling is advantageous but not essential. The Tool Maker will work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure all tools meet the company’s high standards of quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacture, assemble, and repair tools and fixtures in line with engineering specifications.

• Operate a variety of machine tools, including milling machines, lathes, and grinders.

• Read and interpret detailed technical drawings.

• Conduct routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience as a Tool Maker or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in reading and working from technical drawings.

• Skilled in the use of machining tools such as mills, lathes, and grinders.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Previous experience in a contract toolroom is essential.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Full-time

• Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per year

• Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Friday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
