Tradewind Recruitment is working with a primary school in North Finchley seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Class Teacher to join their team from January 2027, with additional responsibility as Maths Lead.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident primary practitioner who is passionate about mathematics and would enjoy taking on a wider role in developing maths teaching and learning across the school.

The Role:

Take responsibility for a primary class, delivering engaging and effective lessons.

Plan and deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

Lead and support the development of mathematics across the school.

Promote high standards of teaching, learning and pupil achievement in maths.

Support colleagues with the planning and delivery of the maths curriculum.

Monitor pupil progress and contribute to improving outcomes.

Work collaboratively with the wider teaching and leadership team.

The Ideal Candidate:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Has experience teaching within a mainstream primary setting.

Has previous Maths Subject Lead or Maths Coordinator experience, or is ready to take on this responsibility.

Has a strong understanding of the primary maths curriculum.

Is confident supporting and developing colleagues.

Has a proactive approach and a genuine passion for improving teaching and learning.
