Your new company Are you looking for a new fast-paced and motivating school administration role? Do you have excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as a passion for working with children and their families?If so, you might be the perfect candidate for our temporary school administrator position in South Birmingham. Your new role Within this fast-paced school administrator role based in a South Birmingham school, you will be responsible for managing a number of varied administrative tasks within the school, as well as being the first port of call for all parents, visitors and pupils to the school. You will work closely with the senior leadership team, teachers, support staff, and governors to ensure the smooth running of the front office. Duties may include, but not restricted to:
Taking calls and messages. Welcoming visitors to the school and ensuring they are signed in and out accordingly Booking appointments and arranging meetings with parents and outside agencies. Update and maintain pupil and staff records or databases, using computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Pay, Arbor etc. Speaking to parents and sending out correspondence about pupil absences Send and receive letters and emails. Order and stock supplies, equipment, and stationery Follow the school policies and procedures regarding health and safety, confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection Dealing with reprographic needs within the office. This is a term-time-only position working Monday-Friday and will be temporary on an ongoing basis. There is the potential for the role to become permanent for the right individual. Previous experience in a school or office environment is essential for this role.
