As a SEND Teaching Assistant in Wirral, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings. Working closely alongside teachers and the SENCO, you will help make learning accessible and engaging for all pupils, promoting confidence and independence while ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Adapt learning materials and classroom activities to meet individual needs
* Promote positive behaviour and foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere
* Monitor, record, and report on progress and developments
* Support social, emotional, and communication development initiatives
* Assist with classroom preparation and maintain a safe learning environment
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, therapists, and external professionals
* Support with personal care or medical needs, where necessary
* Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience supporting children in SEND, school, or care environments
* Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
* Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
