Primary Teaching Assistant  

First For Education is seeking a flexible Primary Teaching Assistant to join a large primary school in Worcester supporting pupils across the classroom to help them engage with learning. 
This is a full time position until Christmas 2026, working closely with the class teachers to support pupils across Key Stage 2 (KS2). 
The school has a strong focus on inclusive learning and pupil development, with a supportive staff team and a positive learning environment, making it an excellent opportunity for a Primary Teaching Assistant.

Primary Teaching Assistant role requirements: 

Previous experience working with children or young people 
Experience supporting pupils within a primary school setting
Understanding of the primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1 or KS2) 
Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
A patient, proactive and supportive approach 
Ability to work as part of a team 
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing 
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply 0 
The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will: 

Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
Encourage pupil engagement and participation 
Support behaviour management using positive strategies 
Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment 
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams
