About the Role

We are seeking a committed and inspiring Year 5 Teacher to join our friendly two-form entry primary school in New Barnet from January. This is a full-time class teacher position within a supportive environment where staff collaborate and strive for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Year 5 curriculum

* Create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment

* Use assessment effectively to track pupil progress and inform teaching

* Work collaboratively with the parallel Year 5 teacher and wider staff team

* Build strong and supportive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

* Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events and enrichment activities

* Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote pupil wellbeing

Essential Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one

* Experience within Key Stage 2 (preferably Year 5)

* Strong classroom management and organisational skills

* A commitment to high standards and continuous improvement

(UET1)
