Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Croydon for an experienced and committed Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team on a long-term supply basis ASAP.

The Role:
This is a full teaching role where the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum. You will take full responsibility for the class, working closely with the year group and wider staff team.

Key Responsibilities:
Planning and delivering high-quality lessons for Year 2
Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
Managing classroom behaviour effectively
Working collaboratively with staff and parents

The Ideal Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
Confident with planning and assessment
Strong classroom management skills
Reliable, flexible, and committed to long-term work
