Primary Teaching Assistant

A school in Truro are seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team, working either in EYFS or KS2. These roles are perfect for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing and who thrive in a collaborative, busy and rewarding school environment. You will work closely with class teachers and wider staff to help pupils make progress academically as well as support their social, emotional and mental health needs throughout the school day.

The successful candidates will be able to work dynamically within a year-group team, providing support to individuals, small groups and whole-class activities as needed. You will bring strong communication skills, a positive and proactive attitude and the ability to use your own initiative. A creative and engaging approach is essential, as is the ability to build positive relationships with children, helping them feel safe, confident and ready to learn. Strong behaviour management skills, rooted in empathy and nurture, are an important part of the role.
