Primary Teaching Assistant

Right Education is recruiting a committed Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bridlington, supporting a Lower Key Stage 2 class for the remainder of the academic year.

This is a full-time, consistent position offering the opportunity to become a valued member of the school team and build strong relationships with the pupils you support. It is a general classroom role rather than a dedicated 1:1 position, with responsibilities spanning the full life of the class.

Working closely with the class teacher, you will help pupils engage with their learning, develop their confidence and make good progress throughout the year. You will support across the curriculum, work with small groups and individual pupils, and help maintain a positive and well-organised classroom environment.

The role will include:

Supporting teaching and learning across the Lower KS2 curriculum

Working with small groups and individual pupils

Helping children remain focused, confident and engaged

Reinforcing learning introduced by the class teacher

Providing additional support in English and maths

*

Preparing classroom resources and supporting lesson activities

Encouraging positive behaviour and respectful relationships

*

Contributing to the wider life of the classroom and school

We would like to hear from applicants who:

Have recent experience supporting children in a primary school or similar setting

Understand the expectations of the KS2 curriculum

Are confident supporting pupils with different levels of ability

Communicate clearly and work well as part of a classroom team

Are patient, dependable and genuinely invested in children’s progress

Can commit to a full-time role for the remainder of the academic year

A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification would be welcomed, although strong school-based experience and the right approach will also be considered.
