Ortus Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic, reliable and motivated Teaching Assistants and Classroom Assistants to support mainstream primary schools in Battersea, Wandsworth.

We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with children, thrive in a busy classroom environment and want to play an important role in supporting pupils throughout their school day.

This opportunity would suit experienced Teaching Assistants, recent graduates, aspiring teachers and individuals with previous experience in nurseries, childcare, tutoring or youth work.

You don’t necessarily need years of classroom experience. We value the right attitude, a willingness to learn and a genuine commitment to helping children succeed.

What Will You Be Doing?

* Supporting the class teacher with everyday classroom activities.

* Helping prepare classroom resources and learning materials.

* Providing additional support to pupils during lessons.

* Assisting with reading, writing, phonics and numeracy activities.

* Supporting individual pupils and small learning groups.

* Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom participation.

* Helping children develop independence and confidence.

* Contributing to a welcoming, safe and inclusive learning environment.

Who Should Apply?

We would love to hear from candidates who:

* Enjoy working with primary-aged children.

* Have experience in education, childcare, tutoring or mentoring, although this is not essential.

* Have a positive, energetic and approachable personality.

* Are reliable, punctual and well organised.

* Can follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

* Have a genuine interest in supporting children’s development.

* Are available immediately and can attend a school trial at short notice.
