Primary - Year 6 Teacher

We are seeking an experienced Year 6 Primary Teacher for a part-time position starting in September. This role is a job share with the Assistant Headteacher and offers a temp to permanent opportunity, ideal for candidates seeking Permanent Roles. The successful candidate will have substantial teaching experience, ideally with knowledge of SATS, to ensure an equal distribution of class responsibilities.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Collaborate closely with the Assistant Headteacher to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the Year 6 curriculum.
• Share responsibility for assessing and monitoring student progress, ensuring high educational standards are maintained.
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, supportive learning environment.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events as required.
• Support the Assistant Headteacher by taking on a significant share of teaching responsibilities, allowing them to focus on their additional duties.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with substantial experience in a primary school setting.
• Strong background in teaching Year 6, with specific knowledge of preparation for SATS.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, capable of managing a job share effectively.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Commitment to professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.
