Principal Applications Scientist - Proteomics - West London

A brand new vacancy for a Principal Applications Scientist with an incredible biotech start-up has become available, based at state of the art labs in West London (W12). The Principal Applications Scientist will lead a small team and spearhead efforts to translate proteomics R&D into commercially relevant scientific research products.

• Identify and define new application opportunities by aligning R&D outcomes with commercial objectives
• Establish and manage a team focused on converting R&D insights into practical applications
• Design, conduct, and interpret laboratory experiments to support project goals
• Mentor Scientists, lead by technical example, and promote strong adherence to GLP and outstanding EHS standards
• Oversee complex, interdependent projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery
• Support the expansion of the company's Intellectual Property portfolio through innovative contributions
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders, including presentations to the Executive Team
• Assist in the development of customer-facing materials, including protocols, scientific publications, and white papers
• Play an active role in advancing the company's Early Access programme initiatives

The ideal Principal Applications Scientist will be a subject matter expert in proteomics / protein biochemistry and have demonstrable commercial acumen as well as previous experience of bringing early stage research through the entire development stage and delivering successful products to market.
