Principal Architect - Based in London but remote working - Circa £105,000 plus bonus
La Fosse is partnering with a leading organisation in their sector to support them in sourcing a Principal Architect. You will be collaborating with stakeholders within a designated business domain to understand current operations and develop a future-state architecture. This includes creating a roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic goals and providing guidance and assurance for ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities: Develop trusted partnerships across the organisation to explore how technology can enhance current and future business strategies, capabilities, and processes, leading to a collaboratively developed architecture and roadmap. Offer guidance and support to project teams, aiding solution architects and designers in evaluating architectural choices. Assist in updating and preserving the organisation's architecture framework, including principles, guidelines, reference models, standards, and templates. Ensure that the domain-specific architecture and roadmap are synchronized with the overall enterprise architecture as it evolves. Guarantee that the domain architecture adheres to applicable regulatory, legal, cybersecurity, and data protection standards relevant to the industries served. Identify emerging technologies and industry trends suitable for integration into the architecture roadmap and lead proof of concept and pilot projects to validate business value quickly.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications: A proactive change agent who balances strategic and tactical business needs. Capable of communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels, adapting style and tone as needed. Advocates for comprehensive, open documentation to facilitate team collaboration and knowledge sharing. Able to lead and influence both teams and individual team members effectively. Skilled at maneuvering through organizational politics. Proficient in influencing and guiding stakeholders and peers in decision-making processes. Capable of presenting new ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments is preferred. Background in developing architectural blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps. Prior industry-specific experience is advantageous but not essential. Experienced in delivering presentations to senior executives and technical staff. Understands IT budgeting concepts and can contribute to business case development.
