Principal/Project Civil Engineer - Exeter - Up to £60k

Our client, a renowned leader in the Multi-Disciplinary Engineering sector with a rich history spanning over 75 years, is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join their innovative team in Exeter.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse array of regional, national, and international projects using the latest in digital design tools within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead on infrastructure, highways, and drainage design projects from scheme development to preliminary and detailed design phases.
Play a pivotal role in project deliveries, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy.
Elevate client satisfaction through effective communication and professional liaison.
Provide mentoring and development support to junior team members, fostering a learning environment.
Participate actively in all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial concept to completion.

Job Requirements:

BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering.
Membership in a relevant professional body, such as ICE, with progress towards or achievement of chartership status.
Extensive experience in the UK construction industry design consultancy across various sectors, including residential.
Strong commercial awareness and prior experience in client liaisons.
Proficient in detailed design with a thorough understanding of relevant codes and industry standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and support more junior colleagues.
