The Civils & Infrastructure Team at Ford and Stanley Group are proud to be working in partnership with a leading Civil Engineering Specialist in the London Area, on their search for a Principal Engineer.

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Professional to work in their Infrastructure Engineering team.

Our candidates will have an interesting and varied portfolio of Projects/Structures to work on, that can encompass, Design, Demolition, Inspection/Assessment/Analysis, & Construction.

These projects could include Station Developments, AFA Schemes, Bridge Design/Strengthening/Repairs, Retaining Walls, Canopies/Roof works, and New build (Residential and Commercial), to name a few.

There will be a blend of both planned, and reactive/urgent works, the majority of the current work bank being within the Rail Sector, so rail sector experience is a must.

This role will require a solid blend of both managerial experiences, and technical know-how. We are looking for a candidate that is able to manage and develop key client relationships and manage their own workload, operating with a high degree of autonomy.

This candidates will alleviate pressure on the Associate Director-level staff within the business unit, allowing them to focus on more business development orientated activities, which will be crucial for the client's growth plans.

Salary/Benefits:

Principal: £60,000 - £66,000 per annum

25 days holiday + bank holidays

Requirements:

Extensive experience in a relevant, Structural/Civil Engineering role. (Essential)
Previous rail sector experience. (Essential)
Previous experience operating as a CRE. (Desirable)
Chartered status, or near to. (Essential)
Prior line management experience. (Desirable)
A good level of commercial awareness, e.g., profit & loss, budgeting, contract management. (Desirable)
Previous experience operating within a consultancy environment.(Desirable)
