As part of this journey, we are partnering with Castlefield Recruitment to expand our finance team and seek 9 talented, motivated individuals to help shape the next chapter of our success.

The Principal Financial Accountant post will lead a professionally focussed corporate finance team, and will be responsible for providing financial and commercial advice across a range of directorates. Responsibilities include;

• Leading on the delivery of high-quality, efficient financial services and regulations to support the delivery of corporate aims and objectives
• Supporting the Chief Accountant in the provision of strategic financial direction
• Ensuring statutory accounts are prepared accurately an on time in line with regulatory requirements
• Supporting and representing the City council strategic objectives
• Contributing to the development and overseeing treasury management activities

The successful candidate;

• CCAB/CIMA qualified Finance professional with evidence of continuing personal development
• Strong technical skillset with a track record of developing influential working relationships at senior level
