An established and growing engineering consultancy is looking for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join their London team.

This is a senior opportunity for an experienced geotechnical engineer looking to take on greater technical responsibility, lead projects and support the development of junior engineers.

The role:

Lead and manage a range of geotechnical projects from investigation through to design and delivery.
Provide technical input across foundations, retaining structures, ground improvement and earthworks.
Review and interpret ground investigation data and produce technical reports.
Undertake and review geotechnical calculations and design work.
Liaise with clients, contractors and other design disciplines.
Support and mentor junior and graduate engineers.
Contribute to bids, fee proposals and business development.
Take responsibility for the technical quality and delivery of projects.About you:

Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject.
Significant experience working within a geotechnical consultancy.
Strong technical knowledge across geotechnical design and ground investigation.
Experience managing projects and providing technical leadership.
Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.The role offers the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of technically interesting projects while progressing within a supportive and expanding team
