WHO WE ARE?

We are recruiting a principal safety engineer to work with a multi-national, industry leading Defence company in South-West London. Due to the nature of the work, you must hold, or be eligible for SC Clearance.

WHAT WILL THE FUNCTIONAL SAFETY ENGINEER BE DOING?

As a principal safety engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Safety as well as mentoring more junior members in the implementation, co-ordination and conduct of programme safety and environmental related activities.

WE NEED THE FUNCTIONAL SAFETY ENGINEER TO HAVE….

• MUST be able to obtain or already have SC security clearance
• Experience developing safety management plans
• Experience conducting functional safety assessments
• Experience documenting system level safety arguments
• Knowledge of UK and EU safety related legislation
• Experience with IEC 61508
• Knowledge of defence and commercial safety standards such as Def Stan 00-056 + 00-056
• It would be nice to have experience of maritime / defence safety engineering
• Event Tree and Fault Tree development using Reliability Work Bench
