Global E&C are looking for a

Principal Structural Designer

for a

contract

opportunity in Aberdeen.

This is a key role to ensure structural design activities are delivered in alignment with Global E&Cs integrated delivery model. You will provide solutions to design challenges, prepare engineering deliverables, and check other relevant design deliverables for assigned structural scopes of work.

Your regular duties will include:
Producing, checking and approving structural deliverables in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications.
Preparing & checking materials take-offs and bill of materials.
Undertaking offshore surveys and creating survey reports.
Assisting in the preparation of CTR estimates.
Support pod lead with progress, time sheet collation and general pod administration as required and requested.
Establishing good working relationships and communication with designers, other discipline leads, department managers and clients.
Assisting the Lead in monitoring and maintaining project plans, and providing progress updates for assigned scopes as required.

To be successful in this role you will ideally be able to demonstrate:
Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry and ONC in engineering (or equivalent) or demonstrable experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry and HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
Brownfield experience in the offshore sector.
Demonstrable competence in the use of AutoCAD 2D & 3D and ReCap software
Demonstrable experience in originating and checking of relevant engineering design deliverables
