About the Role:
We're looking for a talented Principal Electrical Engineer to join our award-winning consultancy team in London. You'll work on a diverse portfolio of projects, both in the UK and internationally, providing technical expertise and innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Responsibilities:
* Provide technical advice to clients on the operation of electrical and mechanical engineering services in existing buildings
* Prepare fee proposals and deliver refurbishment and upgrade projects from inception to completion
* Conduct condition surveys, produce written reports, and recommend improvements
* Develop and produce electrical and mechanical designs, ensuring quality and technical standards
* Lead electrical services design on large projects and overall MEP on small to medium-sized projects
* Collaborate with clients, project managers, and contractors, building strong relationships and delivering exceptional results
* Mentor and supervise junior team members, contributing to their professional development
Requirements:
* Excellent technical knowledge in electrical design engineering and building services engineering
* Strong understanding of standards and codes, including wiring regulations and fire detection systems
* Ability to undertake MEP building services surveys, peer review, and deliver parallel projects of various sizes
* Experience working on projects in existing buildings, with a good understanding of 3-phase LV systems and HV systems
* Chartered engineer or close to chartered status
* Ability to lead small to medium-sized projects, take a brief from project leads, and deliver tasks required
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
