Salary: £32,000 – £35,000
An award-winning Legal 500 firm is looking to welcome a Private Client Fee Earner to its respected team in Rochdale. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated legal professional at the early stages of their career to gain valuable experience in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
The position offers hybrid working, a varied caseload, and the chance to work closely with experienced colleagues who are recognised leaders in private client law. You’ll be given meaningful responsibility from the outset, with tailored mentorship to support your professional and technical development.

The Role:
As a Private Client Fee Earner, you will manage a variety of matters independently, while also assisting senior team members with more complex work. Key duties will include:

• Drafting both simple and complex Wills suited to clients’ individual needs.
• Assisting with estate administration, including preparing probate applications, dealing with HMRC, and asset distribution.
• Advising clients on inheritance tax planning and wealth preservation.
• Helping to create and manage trusts, ensuring full legal compliance.
• Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney.
• Supporting Court of Protection work, including deputyship applications.
• Providing empathetic and clear advice, building lasting client relationships.
• Taking part in team meetings, contributing to departmental efficiency, and supporting business development initiatives where appropriate.

What We’re Looking For:

• 0–2 years’ experience with a keen interest or prior exposure to Private Client law.
• A strong academic foundation and genuine enthusiasm for Wills, Probate, Tax Planning, and Trusts.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain legal matters clearly and sensitively.
• A proactive, collaborative attitude with a desire to learn and grow within a team.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage your own files.
• Eagerness to develop professionally in a department that offers clear progression opportunities.
