Private Client Lawyer (5+ years')

A top-tier law firm is looking to add a Private Client Associate/Senior Associate (5+ years') to its Private Client team in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading group recognised for its depth of expertise and client-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on wills, powers of attorney, trusts and executry administration
• Providing estate planning for high-net-worth individuals and families
• Advising landed estates and farming clients on long-term planning
• Working on cross-border succession and tax matters
• Setting up and administering personal injury trusts
• Supporting clients with Adults with Incapacity and guardianship applications
• Leading client relationships and offering tailored, practical advice
• Supervising and mentoring paralegals and trainees
• Participating in training delivery and team development
• Contributing to business development and client growth initiatives

About You

• 5+ years’ PQE
• Significant experience in private client work, ideally involving complex estates
• Commercial awareness with a solution-focused approach
• Comfortable handling high levels of client responsibility
• Interested in mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to a collaborative team
