Private Client Solicitor - Hybrid

Job Title: Private Client Lawyer (4+ PQE)
Location: South Northamptonshire (with travel across the East Midlands)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm - Hybrid

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive (4+ PQE) to join a well-established and expanding law firm based in South Northamptonshire. This role offers a high-quality caseload, career progression, and a supportive, professional working environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Department and other team members, handling a wide range of private client matters involving high-net-worth individuals and rural estates.

• Advising clients on Inheritance Tax and Estate Planning

• Drafting Wills, Trusts, and Lasting Powers of Attorney

• Administering estates, including inheritance tax calculations and applications for relevant reliefs

• Supporting the creation and administration of Trusts

• Engaging in business development and client relationship management

• Collaborating with colleagues to maintain high standards of service delivery

Essential:

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEx (or equivalent)

• Minimum 4 years of PQE in Private Client law

• Strong client care and communication skills

• Proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently

• Excellent drafting, organisation, and time management skills

• Confident IT user (Microsoft Office and legal software)

• Full UK/EU driving licence and access to own transport

• Commercially astute and proactive team player

Desirable:

• Experience or knowledge of Agricultural and Business Property Relief
