Their private client practice offers high-quality, tailored advice in areas like estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, taxation, powers of attorney, and Court of Protection work. They handle both domestic and international matters and are known for working with high-net-worth individuals, multi-generation families, and clients with overseas assets.

The Role:

We are looking for a motivated solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE to join our well-regarded Private Client department. You will manage a varied caseload with a focus on HNW estate planning and complex estates, while supporting clients with clear, pragmatic, and strategic advice. Exposure to cross-border estate planning would be advantageous, though not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising clients on estate planning, inheritance tax, trusts, wills, and powers of attorney
• Handling probate and estate administration, including complex and HNW estates
• Providing tailored solutions for clients with business assets, agricultural estates, or family wealth structures
• Drafting high-quality documentation with precision and attention to detail
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, often involving multigenerational families
• Assisting with cross-border matters where relevant (desirable but not essential)
• Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team as appropriate

About You:

• Qualified Solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE in private client law
• Demonstrable experience in estate planning, probate, and complex/HNW matters
• Strong technical knowledge of inheritance tax and trusts
• Excellent communication and client care skills, with a commercial and empathetic approach
• Ability to manage a demanding caseload while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience of international/cross-border work beneficial but not essential
• STEP qualification or working towards it would be an advantage
