We are looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor, Legal Executive or Fee Earner to join our team and manage a varied caseload of private client matters.
This is a client-focused role offering the opportunity to develop strong long-term relationships, take ownership of your own caseload and contribute to a supportive and professional team environment.
The Role
• Manage a varied caseload of private client matters • Provide clear, practical and professional legal advice to clients. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, professional contacts and third-party referrers. • Progress matters efficiently and accurately, keeping clients regularly updated on progress, timescales and costs. • Maintain accurate and comprehensive case files and records using the firm's case management systems. • Ensure all client information and documentation is handled with a high level of confidentiality and security. • Manage billing, time recording, aged debt and other relevant performance targets. • Take responsibility for credit control on your own matters, working alongside the Accounts/Credit Control team where required. • Work in accordance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules, Code of Conduct and all relevant regulatory requirements. • Identify opportunities to develop client relationships, generate referrals and contribute to business development activities. • Maintain up-to-date legal knowledge and undertake appropriate training and professional development. • Provide support and guidance to junior team members or legal assistants where required. • Attend departmental and team meetings and contribute positively to discussions and the wider development of the department. • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a professional, supportive and client-focused environment.
Skills & Experience
• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or experienced Private Client Fee Earner. • Experience managing a private client caseload with minimal supervision. • Strong experience across wills, probate and estate administration, with additional experience in trusts, inheritance tax, powers of attorney and/or Court of Protection work desirable. • Excellent client care and relationship-building skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. • High attention to detail and accuracy. • Commercial awareness, including an understanding of billing, time recording and credit control. • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and legal case management systems. • A professional, approachable and team-focused attitude.
